Meet the Owner + Pups
Hi, I'm Maya, the owner of Paws & Wranglers Co.
Growing up, I was the youngest of two girls. With a five-year age gap between my sister and me, we didn't always see eye to eye. Thankfully, I had my best friend by my side—my Rottweiler, Prince.
Prince and I spent 15 wonderful years together. He was energetic, incredibly sweet, and never met a stranger. He loved treats, playing ball (although he rarely brought it back!), and making everyone who walked through our door feel welcome. He was the dog who sparked my lifelong love for animals.
At 17, during my senior year of high school, I got my first dog of my own, Torque. He has the sweetest personality, the cutest ears, and a heart full of love. He's playful, loyal, and absolutely a mama's boy.
Not long after, I knew I wanted Torque to have a best friend of his own. At 18, I welcomed Chevelle, another Rottweiler, into my life. She reminds me of Prince every single day with her loving personality and gentle spirit.
After graduating high school, I moved into my own home with Torque and Chevelle. That's when I started offering in-home dog boarding through Rover. For about three years, I had the privilege of caring for so many wonderful dogs and building relationships with amazing pet owners who trusted me with their furry family members. I loved every minute of it and truly enjoyed creating a safe, loving environment for every dog who stayed with us.
After my son was born, life took me in a new direction. In 2024, I had the opportunity to purchase a small pet-friendly candle business from someone I had known for years. I took a leap of faith, and I'm so thankful I did. That experience inspired me to expand beyond candles and create even more pet-friendly products.
A year later, I realized it was time to pursue the business I had always dreamed of. After countless hours of planning, designing, and creating, Paws & Wranglers Co. was born.
Today, Paws & Wranglers Co. is a reflection of everything I love—pets, western-inspired style, unique graphics, and thoughtfully selected products for both people and their four-legged companions. My goal is to create a boutique where fellow animal lovers can find products they genuinely enjoy while supporting a small, family-owned business.
When I'm not working on the boutique, I'm spending time with my husband, our little boy, and our two pups. We proudly call the small town of Lena, Illinois, home, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

About the Pet Friendly Products
Every day, millions of individuals use candles and fragrances inside their homes, but have no idea how deadly it is to their pets. Two years ago, I came across an article stating an unfortunate event- a once perfectly healthy pup had passed away in it’s home due to high fragrances in the household. After spending not even five minutes on Google, I found numerous similar stories. As a pet owner, I always want the very best for my pets. The best life, the best toys, the best treats, and the best health, which is why I took matters into my own hands.
